Well, I don't think gadge can claim "30% reenactors" next time, unless he's counting his pbi mates!

PD comments ring true here:

Favorite moment was the look on Yith's face when they realised I had stolen the detonator for the explosives to blow the plant.
Least favorite moment was about a second later when Yith told me they had a spare, which I hadn't bothered to steal. That's just cheating that is! :(

So, even though the players succeeded in completing a task, that doesn't stop Yith from literally cheating in order to make sure he could win the day for his side. Twat.

Yith was the only player I had to threaten with my pistol at Boryszyn as well. Kept wandering off on his own, or trying to take charge and take patrols off task, when I'd deliberately not given him any positions of authority! He and Lardy fecked up the initial tasking of patrols as well, by sitting down and having a :ghey: lunch break, even though we told everyone we weren't stopping for lunch! Wanker!

An extra det' box? What a load of bollocks! So much for "realism" :slap: .

Pete, you made a mistake there. You threatened him with an Airsoft gun. Use a bayonet next time, and i do mean use a bayonet.

:giggle: When yith and lardy sat down to dinner, I found myself in "screw" mode and started to say "what the f**k do you think you're doing?" to them! I reigned myself in though, as the entire Russian side was standing around me!

I'll be giving yith plenty of friendly fire at webby's game in June though (in fact, I may even upgrade my Garand for just that purpose! ).

Alex, you'll definitely be invited when we d the boat shoot (as will any other dog co member who can do a generic infantry impression), its going to be when the weather much better as if folk travel a distance to do this I want to make sure its a good day for pics when they get there.

Hmm. It would be tragic if the boat sank with them on it (highly likely if bigarse turns up!). I was just humouring him when I said I might go, by the way!

Well, that photoshoot was well worthwhile, I'll have to buy AI magazine to get the full exciting sequence. That commando appears to have crossed an open stretch of water unseen and bagged himself a jerry. I bet he used a piece of reed stem as a breathing tube. I know they did that as it was in one of my Commando picture book stories...

Perhaps that's what it is for? A "Commando" comic but, using photos instead of drawings. Whatever it is, it's really, really, really gay.

If your wondering why Gadge has done them, its quite simple.

He had a monumental bollocking for not doing what the fuck he is paid to do. Even though he does fuck all else, he was still delivering copy late with utterly, utterly shite pics.

So he's trying to look keen at the moment lol

**edit**

Amusing MSN Convo with Gadge - make of it what ya will, but im smelling horseshit of the highest order from him:

Gadge says:
everyone thinks every cia game is fixed by guy for germna win
Jay/James/Kermit says:
need to make it clear at the start i reckon, that it aint fixed, otherwise, you know what people think....
Gadge says:
to the point that pete dunn told me he had to p[hysically stop guy fixing borzyn
Jay/James/Kermit says:
considering Guy wasnt running the german side, im quite impressed with that!
Gadge says:
well only going off what pete tells me
he told me guy was running off the plan and ruing daves scenario
on the qt like
ruining that shoul dbe
Jay/James/Kermit says:
heh, what he should have said was that he and steve were running 20 mins fast lol
Gadge says:
equally, everyone felt ariel was fixed
so its said about all games
the ill feeling in the brit camp afte rhaivn g escpated the being marched thourhg th german lines for a big ending fit=th was bad

Hmmm, while its true Guy does have a thing about winning (I'm not the psychologist but its probably compensating for something 8) ) the truth is there were no winners or losers at Ariel or Borysyznyizin, just troops obeying orders and giving their all.

All this 'bad feeling' and 'the Brits think this or that' all emanates from Gadge. I know he had a shit childhood but all his life he has sought approval/attention from others being a DJ or an airsoft group leader (Lenton F & O and the Russian group, latterly PBI), reenactment leader (PBI), ace journalist of magazine, forum guru. He is completely fucked up and has nothing to show for his 33 years on this earth apart from a thick medical record file.

Honestly, there is no two ways about it - don't speak to the bloke, it only gets used the wrong way. There is no way to 'bring the bloke round' by being friendly or confidential because it is a wasted effort. Leave him to destroy himself 'cause he sure as hell isn't going to destroy CiA, gawd knows he's tried.

Oh FFS. The Aerial thing was when the Brit had managed to achieve all the objectives and we were trying to give everyone a big battle for the end of the day. Yith threw all his toys out because he 'just wanted to get home', thus breaking the suspension of disbelief for everyone by having a stand-up argument with me about not wanting to engage the Germans because he was tired. Twat.

What we try to do is create a nice ending, this gets misinterpreted into fixing. Knob.

In our after-action reports we always make it clear that the everyone was a 'winner' because of the multiple objectives achieved.

That said, we really do need to stop going off-script (which has happened before), or at, in the case of Boryszyn, ensure we are all VERY clear about how we are wrapping the day up, thus not being in place 20 minutes early. :slap:

Heh, as I have pointed out before re Boryszn, Russians went completely off script at the end by failing to roll the action towards HQ2, regardless of what Guy did or didn't do, making a big battle, as intended, impossible.

Anyway, what Gadge is talking about is Yith (and maybe Evo) moaning at Ariel and Pete moaning about Boryzyn. No biggy. But either way it is Gadge that is shit-stirring and Gadge that is trying to perpetuate some sort of idea that there is bad felling about CiA and that his gang is the place to be. Take a look at their forum - barely half a dozen posts a week.

Look, just sideline the bloke. He has big personal issues, just let him stew in them - I've given up olive branches ever since the tried to force me to cancel Boryszyn in return for the gracious pleasure of having PBI involved in a training day and threatened to withdraw PBI members from involvement in a CiA event.

Heh, I noted there were more CiA members at Freshman than PBI members, which was nice!

Well, not completely off script, we just went the wrong way and didn't find any Germans en route!! :giggle: :slap:

I never said any such thing to the prick! Just wait until I see him. I mentioned we had a bit of a wander off plan towards the end of the day but, no names, no pack drill, as I think it's unprofessional and unfair to single anyone out. I also pulled him up when he suggested CiA scripted events, telling him that it was PBI that did that and that CiA worked on a much broader canvas than he gave us credit for or told other people.

Ok Jay, he's yours, I'll have nowt to do with the tosser. Have fun tonight as well! :good:

Just seen this on the pbi board.

Righty ho, this is not so much as a proposal as something Evo and i are doing and youre all invited to join in on.

Given the slightly 'over seriousness' we've had of late its important to remember why we do airsoft, namely hainvg a laugh, buying interesting kit and dressing up and playing army....

So Evo and i are forming a side project called the Sinister Ducks. If you recall the film 'the wild geese' were aiming for an inept version of that! A merc band always seeming to side with the losers :)

Essentially its a 'modern loadout' thats not to modern for open days and fun events.

Kit is *anything* between 1945 and 1970 with a preference for 50s and 60s brit kit (think 58 or 44 webbing, 66 pattern dpm, denisons, OD trousers, puttees, DMS boots) and a black beret with out 'flying duck' badge.

I know Evo, Sian, Nige and myself are up for this any other takers.

Cue discussions between them about who gets to be Richard Burton, Roger Moore or Hardy Kruger now! :ghey:

Well, this is Gadge all over. Always shifting to something different, the next 'amazing' thing. I was surprised having done South Staffs things with PBI in 2009 to discover that they are doing Hallamshires now. Flagged as nothing but a badge change one has to ask 'they why?' No commitment, no staying power, low boredom threashold. And a questionable 'real' interest in the subject. Just another uniform to dress up in.

And 'sinister ducks'? Yet another parallel with Josh sort of stuff - LARPy, fantasy 'lets pretend'. I wouldn't mind betting he'll be pushing the thing in AI magazine though!

Still, with a bit of luck it will take up more of his time and leave less to WW2 airsoft!

Seriously I am so laughing out loud.......so despite all this time IT'S STILL ALL MY FAULT.

Priceless, honestly priceless. I really had hoped we had moved on by now .

Can someone please explain to him that in the past 12 months I really don't give a flying fuck about airsoft, WW2 airsoft, winners, loosers etc. No seriously.... please quote me . I come to the games and put my reduced effort in because I like the people , as too winning... I don't even carry a gun any more ..couldn't give a monkeys . :happyclap: :giggle: and he wasn't even at Borsyn ?

TBh his delusions etc don't even upset me , in fact you could tell him about my change of career , some of David's points are quite valid . I thought I was having issues, poor old Gareth . He does need some help , he will self destruct or bounce from crap to crap without .

Can one of you actually explain that I have known through mutual mates he was a total walt before we actually started CiA and for precisely the above reason (he's nutty and insecure) I have never outed him beyond the people reading this thread. Ah , if only he knew . Mind you no doubt that would all be my fault as well .

All cia games are fixed for Guy to win ...I might post it as my new sig....good job all you other 4 are so stupid/ frightened / etc for me to get away with my evil plans ..... :happyswing: :slap:
as David says though , don't talk ot the little fuck , he ain't part of the crew , will never be ,
